History repeats itself

Now, everybody is talking about a civil war in Lebanon…

Now, everybody is talking about Christians and Muslims…

Now, everybody is talking about Christian areas and Muslim areas…

So, when will the civil war start?

Hasn’t it started already?

How do we know that the war started?

How awful to read in the newspapers and to listen to the news talking about the civil war…

Yes, it has already started…

Obviously, we never deserved an independent, free and democratic country…

So, good for us the civil war…

We deserve it…

Wildest dreams…Unlimited imagination

The happiest days of the Hezbollah leadership are when they are destroying and sucking blood…

Well…it doesn’t matter what they destroy or whose blood they suck…Jewish, Christian, Muslim…Israeli or Lebanese…

For the Hezbollah leadership it is the same……

The most important for them is to see chaos…

And chaos they are getting because of the Seniora mis-management of the conflict…since the July war 2006…

But what is hurting me more is that in my wildest dreams or in my unlimited imagination (and obvious my imagination was not that wide as I thought it was)…I could not dream or imagine that the day will come I will get married and have kids and MY kids will be going through the Lebanese war like ME…

How could I imagine that after 30 years…my kids…my 3 year old and my not yet born will witness a civil war…will live a similar life as mine…a life with fear…a life in shelters…

31 years ago, my uncle had to rescue me from the hospital… I was a few hours old…Maybe my kid that will be born in June will have to be rescued by my same uncle from the hospital too…

Wonderful Park

How great it was this morning to learn from Haaretz that the Israelis and Syrians were holding secret “unofficial” peace talks for the past two years.

Oh and I really appreciated that the last round of talks was during the summer war in Lebanon…Oh maybe ethically the Syrians thought that it wasn’t nice for the Lebanese to be suffering under the Israelis bombs while they are having peace talks…

After all Hezbollah is an Iranian-Syrian puppet…and the last round of war was an Iranian-Syrian masterminded war…

Whatever…

So what is the name of the game???

Syrians are allowed to talk about their future with the Israelis…

Lebanese are forbidden to look into the eyes of an Israeli…of course if they meet any…

Syrians are allowed to have a joint park with the Israelis on the lake side…

Lebanese are allowed to have a bloodbath with the Israelis on the hill side…

Who is setting the rules of the game?

Enough of stupidity…

We want to have peace meetings with the Israelis…

That should be the new rule of the game, Mr. Seniora

Dinner and Politics

Yesterday night I had dinner with friends…and the main dish was the political situation in Lebanon, the Lebanon that we all love…either we were supporting the 8 March people or the 14 March people…

We all love Lebanon but we each have a different Lebanon…

Are you with an Iranian-supported Lebanon?
Are you with an American-supported Lebanon?

And by the way…forget about a Lebanese-supported Lebanon…

Unfortunately I have come to the conviction that we will never be an Independent country…

We will always be a satellite, an orbit, a buffer …a whatever you want to call it country…

One of the guys at the table (remember I had dinner with friends yesterday) said I am against all parties, I don’t trust them... ALL of them…Next year the US administration will change…and the new president will opt to negotiate with Syria and again we will be given to Syria…

Maybe he is right...

BUT…

Now more than ever…we can not be neutral…we can not NOT take sides…I know it sounds shocking for some…but NO NO and NO…

We can not afford being neutral…

We have to take sides…

We are always in danger of being ON the table of negotiations instead of being around it…

And if we choose to be on the side of the Iranian-supported Lebanon…then for sure we will be ON the table of negotiations…

If we choose to be on the side of the American-supported Lebanon with a clear vision of our important role in the Middle East…then we will be around the table of negotiations…

Maybe for the first time…

P.S. The strategy of the 14 March people in becoming more aggressive and more extremists against Israel…just to justify themselves against Hezbollah is a stupid strategy…

New Year Predictions

With the end of the year and beginning of a new year…astrologists, fortune-tellers, crystal ball readers and so on become the stars of our days and nights…

We see them on every television station, on every newspaper and magazines predicting and warning us of what the New Year will be carrying…

One interesting Lebanese guy is Michel Hayeck…this guy is different than the others…he has visions of events…So every year we the Lebanese wait impatiently for Michel Hayeck to share his visions with us…

But something strange happened to me last night…I had a vision…a very clear one but very weird…that of course I would love to share with you…

The vision goes as follows and please as Hayeck says don’t interrupt me…

I see a new Israeli government headed by Tzipi Livni…
I see a new foreign minister: Mr. Dan Gillerman…
I see a new minister of defense or as we like to call it in Beirut the minister of war: Mr. Yossi Beilin
I see a new minister of education: Mr. Etgar Keret
I see a new minister of Immigrant Absorption: Mr. Azmi Bechara
I see a new minister of Peace Education For Real: Mr. David Grossmann
I see a new minister of Arab-Israeli Relations: Mr. Zvi Yehezkeli
I see a new minister for National Infrastructures: Mr. Hassan Nasrallah

Don’t blame me I got this vision last night…and believe me last night I had a great night and great food…

Bad movie

I didn’t wish to start the new year with bad news or with negative comments on the blog…but what can I do…I live in the Middle East

Ah yes the good news is that we got rid of Saddam Hussein…

In Beirut…

The Lebanese are still watching the bad, very bad movie called “No government…yes International Tribunal”…

Well many are leaving the cinema…they are getting bored of this stupid movie…They prefer to go to a nice restaurant…have a good laugh and ignore the bitter reality…

Come on…the actors are far away from being credible…All of them…
Very bad actors…

The scenario is hysterically awful…
Repetitive…far away from being creative…
Come on…what is this: “we want to rescue Lebanon”… “only we know how to protect Lebanon”… we know what is best for Lebanon”… “we hold the truth”… we uncovered the conspiracy”…
However…they all agree that they LOVE LEBANON…

Well, they are all destroying Lebanon in the name of this love…

Please stop loving Lebanon…
