The International Tribunal Saga

The U.N. Security Council voted Wednesday to unilaterally establish an international tribunal to prosecute suspects in the assassination of Lebanon's former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

The establishment of the tribunal is not a political victory for the 14th of March group…

The establishment of the tribunal is not against the 8th of March group…

Yesterday on television…I saw and I heard pain, sadness and sorrow…

The pain, sadness, sorrow and tears of 4 women…

Nayla Tueini, May Chidiac, Gizelle Khoury and Yasma Fleihan…

The establishment of the tribunal is not a political victory…

The establishment of the tribunal is a humane victory…

The establishment of the tribunal is to ease and lessen these women’s wounds…

Personal wounds that have been transformed to a national wound…

A nation’s wound that needs to be healed only through the international tribunal…

So, yes I am happy that the U.N. Security Council voted for the tribunal…

D-Day

The fighting between the Lebanese Army and Fatah El-Islam is still on going...

The coverage of Al Jazeera and CNN of the events is unacceptable...

It is not the Lebanese Army who's aggressing civilians...

It is not the Lebanese Army who's responsible for the Humanitarian disaster in the camp...

Fatah El-Islam is a terrorist group...We have to get rid of it at any price...

I don't know what will happen in the coming days...But

I will be away for a few days...I won't be able to write on the blog...

I will be at the hospital on Thursady at 6:30 am to give birth...

Wish me luck and pray for me so I will be back as soon as I can and resume my work on the blog

See you very soon...maybe in a week time...maybe before...It all depends of ARA (my new born's name)...

I love you all

Fatah El Islam: Another Syrian Scheme

Sunday…32 degrees…people on the beach…Welcome to Lebanon…

Sunday…32 degrees…people hiding in their apartments trying to find a shelter from gun fires… Welcome to Lebanon…

Welcome to the Middle East… The biggest mental asylum of the world…

All eyes were on the North of Lebanon yesterday…The fighting is still going on between the Lebanese Army and a so-called Fatah El Islam, a terrorist group funded by the Syrian regime (of course Bashar’s regime denies knowing anything about this group) but we know, all the Lebanese know that Fatah El Islam is a Syrian puppet…

It is not a bad thing that the Army is battling with this terrorist group…because it is about time that the Lebanese Army and therefore the Lebanese State take control…

We are fed up of being the battlefield of lost causes…

We are fed up of Arab nationalism…

We are fed up of the Israeli-Arab conflict…

We are fed up of Syria…

We are fed up of the Palestinian resistance outside Palestine…

We are fed up of wars…of warmongers…

AH!!! Sunday 23:45 pm…while catching up with the latest news of the long sunny day… BOOM!!! We hear a blast…

10 minutes later…we read on the TV screen a bomb in Achrafieh…at ABC (one of the biggest malls)…

The disaster was not the bomb in itself…the disaster was that the road to the hospital where I should deliver was closed because of the car bomb

What would have happened if I had my contractions at that time and I had to be taken to the hospital?

That is not acceptable… 31 years ago my uncle rescued me from the hospital where I was born by a miracle from gun fires…and now I can not reach the hospital to give birth…

What do you call that?

Bashar and my contractions

Hoping that the situation in the Middle East will improve is a childish business…

Working for a better future for the Middle East is a waste of time…

Bringing people together in the Middle East is a kind of hypocritical exercise…

Engaging in peace talks in the Middle East is the greatest diplomatic charade…

Watching the Syrian satellite channel is hillarious... You feel you are watching the Benny Hill show...

Listening to Bashar Assad giving a speech makes me have heavy contractions...

So you see, there is nothing nice going on in the Middle East...

We are still hanging on but till when???

Yalla a few days and my new born will see the light...

I am sorry my son that you had to be born in the Middle East...

Back to my first passion

My last post was titled " Je reste avec vous"... and here I am since Sunday I have disappeared...Well that this the Middle Eastern way of doing politics...

You promise something and you do the opposite...

Am I a politician?... Well let's put it this way... A politician-to-be... First let me finish with the "breeding business"...

To tell you the truth, I have been back to my first passion: TENNIS... I have been spending most of my time watching and enjoying the Berlin tournament...

I have never been to Berlin, but I have been told that it is a very beautiful city... So, next year in Berlin!!!!

The Berlin tennis tournament brought back wonderful memories...When I used to watch Steffi Graf playing...Well it wasnt a play...She was a magicien...She was an artist...She was great...

At the same time, Graf's greatness brought me back to reality...The reality of the 3 women I have been supporting...

Segolene, Tzipi and Hillary...

Segolene is temporary out...
Tzipi is prime minister on hold...for curious reasons...I hope she doesn't have a timing problem like me (that is a story I will have to tell you about it later)...
Hillary is not excelling in her race to the presidency...

That's it for today folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Je reste avec vous

Segolene Royal lost the presidency...but we didn't lose the hope for a different politics in the coming few years...

Segolene Royal declared after her defeat that she will stay with the people...

We tell her we will stay with her...

We will support her new political wave...

We will support her by refusing the black or white International Politics...

With Mr Sarkozy...the Cowboy style prevailed again...maybe the People of this planet are not ready yet to share the burden of saving the planet from all its ills (politically, security wise, environmental, societal...)

Maybe the People of the planet are still in need of cowboys to lead them...

So, congratulations Mr Sarkozy, but...

Madame Royale nous restons avec vous...

Segolene on Top

The French presidential debate was great on Wednesday...

I enjoyed every bit of it...

It is true that Madame Royal had a shaky start but after 15 minutes of warm up...she showed her true and real "color"...

Madame Royal showed to everybody the kind of leaders we are in need in this crazy world we are living in especially since 9/11, 2001...

Madame Royal was sure of herself, very well prepared and aware of her files...She was talking with great confidence...and definitely she wasn't intimidated by Mr Sarkosy the demagogue...
Mr Sarkozy, the typical politician, the cow-boy type...

Madame Royal was not afraid to call him a liar when he was bluffing and lying...
She wasnt afarid to show her anger to defend a cause...and that is becoming very rare in politicians...

Again and again, Bravo Sego...

I hope the French people will not lose the opportunity to elect a president that is different than the cow-boy presidents riding their horses...

France is the craddle of revolutions...We are craving for revolutions these days
