My thoughts and views on the Arab Spring
Yesterday, finally after 5 months of consultation and consultation and consultation and and and...consultation the Lebanese Government was formed...
A 30 ministers cabinet...and oops...they forgot to appoint a woman...
Ah no! they have not forgotten...they could not find a woman...
Well...they were looking for her in the kitchen...that is why they did not find her...
Haven't you heard the news...women have left the kitchen...
But do you think they are in the streets demonstrating against the dictators of the Middle East?
Well not as much as they should be...
We have seen more women in the streets of Tehran demonstrating against Ahmadi Najad, then we have seen them in Yemen, or Libya or Syria or in Bahrain...
Is this an indicator of the next political system that will take over?
Maybe and maybe not...
Are we concerned that the Islamists will take over and replace the corrupted secular regimes?
Yes we are concerned, but we also know that the Turkish model of Islamist governments with modern policies is a successful model that the Islamists of the Arab region should follow...
Islamists Gaza to Manama have supported Turkey in its confrontation against Israel...
So, now its time to follow the steps of Turkey and build a model similar to the Turkish model in governance...
That will push the region forward...
Do I think that will happen?
I doubt, Arabs are stupid to the extent that they will end up dividing their own countries into Sectarian entities...and which will at the end make Israel happy...
Because, Israel will be one of the many Sectarian entities of the region...and we will live all happily divided...
