Jerusalem...It is what keeps people hoping for whatever...

You enter my office…

Straight in front of you…you have the balcony…

A table…with a basket full of chocolate and candies…you can serve yourself at anytime…even without knocking on my door…

On your right…you have a black leather sofa…

On your left…here I am…sitting on my desk…my new laptop still not touched…

I am not finding the right moment to get started on my new laptop…

So, till now nothing extraordinary and nothing super about my office…

Till the moment you decide to leave Laury’s office…

Right in front of you…next to the main door…

You stare…you read…and read again…

A master piece… A rare display… A photo frame…

It reads in Arabic:
Now…3 flights per day to Jerusalem…

Take Off from Beirut:

 7:30 am

10:30 am (new)

14:30 pm

Middle East Airlines MEA

This is an advertisement from the sixties before East Jerusalem was captured by the IDF…

I have seen eyes full of tears in front of this ad put in a frame…as if we are trying to hold on to that era..to frame it…not to let go of it…

I have seen people staring…going back in time and memory…

I have seen people angered…

But I have not seen anyone walk out of my office without commenting by words or by a look on that “THING” on the wall.

Jerusalem is the cradle for everybody in this region…

Let it be the united capital of Israel…

Let it be the sacred capital of Palestine…

Let it be the inspirational capital for all…

Israelis and Palestinians should learn to share a city that goes beyond geography…
