The Lebanon Show, an International Production

I have to write something…
I have no idea what to write about…
I am stuck…
Words, thoughts, ideas pass through my head… nothing sinks in…
What to write about?
You want to know who I support for president in Lebanon?
What for?
You have to ask the Americans, the French, the Israelis, the Syrians, the Saudis, the Iranians who they support for president in Lebanon…That is more useful…
You think I am writing this with bitterness?
Not at all…
I told you before…I have accepted the fact that Lebanon is and will always be a buffer state…
Lebanon is the best experiment for International relations…
Our politicians are not just local politicians, they have international dimensions…

Everything is fake…just like the Truman Show…everybody has a specific role to play…and life goes on…

We the people have the role of desperate citizens; we are not allowed to walk away from the set. We have to stay the Proud and Resistant citizens in the movie…
Whatever happens in the country, we the extras have to hang on…without us the movie is not very credible…

Our politicians have the mission to destroy the country…

They are divided to 2 groups; whoever blows up the country first wins the game…

Each group has external support of course…

Each group has its external consultants and advisory board…They give them suggestions, hints, tips and provides them with fuel and ammunitions to survive…

The Lebanon Show is an International production, with scriptwriters from the Arab world, Israel, Iran, Europe and the US.

Each day the actors/politicians get the scenario of the day…
The extras, we the people, have no lines…we are just around…

And the script is still being written…and the country is still being destroyed bit by bit…

And you have to be very patient…the end is not written yet…

Ah!! Et voila finally... I have managed to write another post…

Laury, great post.
You put in words what i am feeling all the time. What makes me lonely. Now we are two lonely ;))
I stopped watching or reading all the news that are related to Lebanon.Didnt put me in a better mood, but i prefer to get angry and frustrated at things that can be changed.

become a politician and change things! the problem in leb is that everybody is complaining, blaming others etc; but NO ONE takes action!
