Hezbollah: The fall of a legend

Beirut is still resisting…
Fights are still going on in the North… Soldiers are still dying for the sake of a free world…
Katyusha rockets hit Kiryat Shmona…but hey for a change Hezbollah was not accused…
Hezbollah…the fall of a legend…this is the title of the next episode in Lebanon…

The U.S, Israel, Saudi Arabia, 14 march movement, they are all after Hezbollah…

How to dismantle this militia? How to transform this militia into a political party?

To destroy Hezbollah is not realistic…
To disarm Hezbollah by force is crazy…

To start negotiating with the Israelis for the Shebaa Farms is a strong path…

We get back the last piece of land under Israeli Occupation…Hezbollah won’t have any excuse to keep its arms…

You think it is a very shallow, childish scenario?

Well, it is the only path that we did not try yet to get rid of the danger of an armed militia in the country…

Sometimes, naïve gestures could lead to great things…

But definitely bold gestures lead to great things…

However, is it the right time now…

The lack of trust between the Seniora government and Hezbollah is at its peak…

Maybe a secret channel between Lebanese and Israeli official is a must to succeed in such a daring endeavor…

Guarantees are another problem…

Who can guaranty that once the Lebanese government reaches and agreement with the Israeli government…and the Shebaa Farms are given back to Lebanon Hezbollah will disarm?

So, does that mean we need to involve Hezbollah in any negotiations with Israel?

Well, why not? It could always be an indirect involvement…

Again and again I say it out loud…all these moves need courage, boldness, craziness, and Vision…
